Vaccine for those 60 and Over

Clostridium difficile, often called C. diff, is a bacterium that can cause symptoms ranging from diarrhea to life-threatening inflammation of the colon. Typically, C. diff affects older adults in hospitals or in long-term care facilities and may occur after the use of antibiotics. C. diff affects almost half million people in the United States today and there is currently no vaccine for it.

Diabetes

If you are 18 and over and currently treating your Type 2 Diabetes with diet and exercise, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study to determine the effectiveness of a new treatment.

Juvenile Diabetes

If you have a child between the ages of 10 and 17 who has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, or if you have a history of diabetes in your family, your child may be eligible to participate in a clinical study to evaluate the efficiency of an oral medicine that can help with blood sugar levels.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

If you are over the age of eighteen, suffer from RA and are currently taking medication to treat it, you may qualify for our current study which is to investigate a treatment that may help prevent or control joint damage, improve physical function and decrease pain.

COPD

If COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) is affecting your everyday life, you may qualify for a new clinical research study. The study is for an investigational medication that may help improve COPD symptoms.

Alzheimer’s

If you are someone you know suffers from mild Alzheimer’s, you may be eligible to participate in a new clinical trial for an investigational drug to slow the progression of the disease.

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

If you are 60 or older and have been diagnosed with CHF, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study to evaluate a new investigational drug which hopes to prolong life and reduce the complications of heart failure.

Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) or Fatty Liver Disease

NASH, often a silent disease, is a cause of progressive fibrosis and metabolic liver disease, and is a leading cause of cirrhosis and hepatocellular cancer. If you 18 or older have been diagnosed with NASH, have Type II Diabetes and are overweight, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical trial for the treatment of NASH.

Ulcerative Colitis

Approximately 700,000 are affected by UC. If you are 16 – 80 you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research trial to evaluate the effectiveness on a new medication to treat UC.

Migraine

Do you suffer from Migraines? If you are over the age of 18 and suffer with 9 – 14 migraines a month, you may be eligible to participate in an investigational treatment.
